In Fear I Trust App Reviews

Meh!!

The controls are horrible!! I waste more time trying to figure out how to get out of a room

Impeccable Gaming Experience

This game is exceptionally well thought out & put together. Was a little wary about what kind of quality I would get for the price, but turned out I am far from disappointed! This game comes in under #2 of my rank of ANY app, let alone any app that would be considered a game. Well worth the money & I will 100%, absolutely be purchasing the sequel as soon as it hits the market. When is the sequel coming out?!

Disappointed

Really disappointed. I cannot believe this was an editors choice. It makes me question the validity of this App Store reviews. This is a complete waste of money. Terrible controls and average graphics...sorry but I am a very experienced software developer and this game needs redesign.

Horrible! Please read

Please read! Its horrible! Not immersive! Not fun! Not creative! Dont waste your money!

Wont download

I have plenty of storage but for some reason after I bought this game it wont download. It keeps saying not enough storage. I have twice what it requires so I dont understand whats wrong. Upset I paid for it but I cant even download it.

Whaa happen

46% into episode 2 after shutting down game and restarting it put me back to episode 1 and unable to open the door because the puzzle for the door has already been played so game is over unless I start from the beginning and take a chance on it not crashing again. I dont think so!! Update on Feb 6 fixed my problem! Love this game!!!!! This remains one of my all time favorite games!!! Awesome!!!!!

In Fear I Trust Refreshingly fun.

Ive never really been a huge fan of exploration adventure games, but my friend recommended In Fear I Trust so I figured I would give it a whirl. It does a great job of offering me a challenge at times but never fully losing me. Ive had fun sitting down and playing an entire episode as well as simply escaping a couple rooms and coming back later. Lastly, I was really impressed by the sound design/voice acting. I was not expecting that from a game like this. For someone who was skeptical of the genre, I really enjoyed it.

What???

Where do I start with all the problems this thing has? Oh yeah I remember...dont buy this app. Id give it no stars if I had that option.

Fun time killer

Good sound , nice environments, animation so so, over all a fun game of point and click with average puzzles.

Bug

In episode 4 I quit the game and when I came back I could not access the panel thing in the theater. I really do not want to restart the episode. Please fix this.

Why is this editors choice?

Why is this editors choice? I played the whole thing and i still have no idea what the story is. How does episode one: guy in jail end with a girl buying the theater down in episode 4? Why was there dead people lying around the scenes? What killed them? Was there an outbreak? Why were there earthquakes in episode 1? Why can I see random "ghost"(?) people. Wheres the bad guy, wasnt the point of the game to discover what finally happens to the main character. What does the guy in the jail cell have to do with the theater. I liked the game control, the idea was there but it definitely couldve been executive better to tie the storyline together. Dont waste your money or time on this game. Its basically just click and point with a couple of puzzles.

Awesome!

Great game! Definitely worth downloading. Cant wait for episode 5. I noticed a bug in episode 4 with the lift. If you close the game before solving the puzzle in theater room while in the theater room the next time you play the game you will start on the top of the lift every time when entering the room. To get down you have to push the lever to get down twice, watching the lift move down animation twice. You also cant take the cover off of the fuse box to solve the puzzle if youve already done so. I restarted the game once during the glitch and it fixed it self but it did it again later and I had to restart the episode. Other than that, no problems.

Eh...

I gave it 4 stars because it is pretty fun and the story lines are okay. But, it is NOT scary. Like, at all. From other reviews I was anticipating something really spooky and it isnt even close. Game play is okay. Some of the puzzles are ridiculous to figure out but there are several walkthroughs online to help you out. But if you were looking for something really scary this is not it.

Looking forward to more!

Id give this five stars but there are still a few bugs to work out. You can easily work around some of the panels that appear open and then close if you exit the game. Its an easy fix--go to the main menu and reload. Still, this is a beautifully designed game.

Absolute WORST controls ever

If youre looking for a game with an annoyingly huge file size, awful controls, boring gameplay, poorly designed puzzles that are often non-intuitive, and a cliched story about an amnesiac who wakes up in a strange place thats not only disjointed but also told in poor English, then "In Fear I Trust" is the game for you. Lol. Seriously, the controls are the worst in the App Store. You have a choice between the unresponsive tap to move/swipe to look around (actually the lesser of 2 evils) or an archaic joystick that makes movement so arduous that walking across the room will make you feel like youre trekking up a Himalayan mountain in a blizzard. And the game takes forever because of the terrible, terrible controls. The desire you naturally have as a player to explore your surroundings is gone, having been replaced by the more urgent desire to limit frustration by moving as little as possible. Made gameplay so tedious I could barely get past episode 1. But enough about the controls. I guess all those 5-star ratings are from people who either havent played games with decent controls or think that players deserve to be punished. As far those praising the storyline, um...what storyline? You mean the one about the amnesiac who wakes up in a creepy place with no memory of how he got there and now has to find a way out? Seriously? Because thats so new and interesting! Every scrap of paper you pick up is supposed to further the storyline, but it doesnt. Its all the same repetitive stuff about scientists experimenting on humans in a grisly manner. A true story never emerges, and 90% of the gameplay consists of you wandering around in various rooms picking up either these, um, papers of insight or cassette tapes randomly strewn about. Oh, to see the tapes, you need to activate ghost-vision mode, which is annoying because it gives you the answers to all the puzzles and shows you where all the collectible items are located. Way to go, developers.

Hard to play and get in to

Movement is very hard and not natural, its hard to use items, the graphics arent crisp. Playing on an iPhone 6S Plus. Want to see this improve! Not enough scary games.
